This week featuring: Il Cancelliere Taurasi
Many have referred to the grape Aglianico as the Nebbiolo of the south. It tends to drinks aggressive in its youth and ages with grace over a span of 15, 20, 30 years. On the volcanic soils of Taurasi in the hills of Campania, smoky undertones are always present and silky tannins make this wine a perfect pairing for fatty beef or pork. To demonstrate a lion of a red wine in early March, this bottling from Il Cancelliere will be available by the glass for $20.
